A good bath is always at the top of my self care list! Warmth and water is always healing and grounding for me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀ I also love to add essential oils to enhance my bath and any healing intentions I might have. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Did you know that it is not safe to add essential oils directly to you bath?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Essential oils do not disperse into water and instead sit on top of the water. This means that as you climb into the tub the essential oils come into contact with your skin undiluted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead make sure that your essential oils are diluted into a carrier oil before pouring into your bath water. While this will also sit on top of the water, the oils will coat your skin in a safe and diluted way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is a great opportunity for some self massage for relaxation or even to ease some pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love sunflower oil as a carrier oil for my bath. It's great for your skin, not expensive and feels amazing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are adding bath salts, or milk to your tub make sure that the essential oils are still diluted in the carrier oil.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What are your favorite essential oils for your bath?
